The results of the implementation of the “One Belt, One Road” program in the context of China – CEE relations, 2024.

Annotation

The countries of Central and Eastern Europe are a trade, transport and economic “window” to other developed countries of the European continent, and also have good prerequisites for the qualitative growth of their own economy and the welfare of society, as a result of which they were chosen by China as one of the priority directions of modern joint foreign policy, which ensures the relevance of this study. The purpose of the article is to trace the results of the implementation of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative in the context of the relations between China and the former socialist states of Central and Eastern Europe, to determine the results achieved by them. The chronological method and the method of system analysis helped to establish a direct link between the relevance of using the resources of the People's Republic of China and the improvement of the infrastructure of the studied geopolitical space through the prism of the initiative from the moment of its inception to the present. The article also examines the correlation between the formation of the member countries of the Belt and Road by attracting them to the international economy and solving the problem of China's extensive development. As a result, the geo-economic project helped to significantly optimize and improve the infrastructure of the participating countries of the initiative and create several thousand jobs on their territory, as well as increase the share of their gross domestic product and investment profitability.
