FIGHT AGAINST DIVERSANTS IN THE YEARS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR ON THE TERRITORY OF THE LOWER VOLGA REGION

Annotation

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of organizing the fight against saboteurs during the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the Lower Volga region. From the initial moment of the war, the task of countering the reconnaissance and sabotage forces of Germany becomes strategically important for the Soviet leadership. Bodies of counterintelligence, military intelligence, state security, including regional ones, were actively involved in the search for "German spies" trained in special intelligence schools, saboteurs, deserters, suppressing sabotage actions of the enemy, guarding the rear. The article shows the real facts of counter - versioning struggle in the strategically important militarily direction - Astrakhan.
