Annotation

Power in Orthodoxy is a hard burden, humility and those who is striving for power must be conscious about the difficulties and temptations of power which must be estimated and provided for. St. John Chrysostom is one of the eminent representatives of the Eastern Christianity. In his view power is a «difficult calling» because of its mixed nature including good and evil. It is not an «object». It is a «relation», «function», difficult service and even a hard work. In secular and religious senses. One of the most famous work on this subject is the work of St. John «On sacred».
