N. Gogol and L. Andreev: big problems of the little man

Annotation

The article is devoted to functioning principles of The Little Man's character from N. Gogol's and L. Andreev's poetics. The author tries to found how both writers use this character with realistic method. The author accents difference between a literature type and a typical case in connection with Gogol's and Andreev's oeuvre and detailed analyzes problematic of this phenomenon. The article will be useful to students, who wants to study specifics of N. Gogol's and L. Andreev's texts, to teachers of literature of the 1 third of XIX century and of The Silver Age, as well as specialists in a literature comparativism.
