The problem of cultural security in the situation of Frontier heterotopia territories(by the example of the Astrakhan Region)

Annotation

In the conditions of heterotopia of polyethnic relations in some territory it is very important to keep balance of different ethnic and social actors of local politics. The situation of Frontier or moving borders’ cultural landscape makes this balance to be more an imaginary than a real fact. Astrakhan region is one of such territories where more than 100 ethnic groups coexist for a long period of time. All that means that the question of cultural security has a double meaning almost for every ethnic group of the region. Every citizen in such territory lives in a situation of constant changes. Very often he (she) becomes a Stranger in his own land. In this situation an image of a Stranger become one of most crucial.
