Burials of the Golden Horde epoch in the adobe fences (the attempt of statistical analysis)

Annotation

Burials in the so-called under-tumulus fences can be found all over the former territory of the Golden Horde. The investigators usually connect the appearance of these traditions with the dissemination of Islam among the population of the Golden Horde in the middle of the XIV c. Basing on the results of statistical analysis of burial rites of that historical period the author makes a conclusion about the absence of statistically reliable connection between burials in the under-tumulus fences and the process of islamization. Moreover, the author has doubts of existence of ground barrows over these fences.
