The Study of Authoritarian Populism in Western Democracies: Book REVIEW OFP. Norris's and R. Inglehart`s «Cultural Backlash: Trump, Brexit, and Authoritarian Populism»
Annotation
The book of P. Norris and R. Inglehart is one of the largest works devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon of far right or authoritarian populism in Western countries. The authors propose a «general theory» of authoritarian populism based on the previous theoretical constructions of R. Inglehart on post - materialism and «silent revolution». The economic, demographic, cultural prerequisites and limitations of the modern upsurge of authoritarian populism are revealed.
