Annotation

The author examines some questions of combat units formation and training of the 110 Kalmyk cavalry division to the hostilities with Nazi troops. According to the order of command Kalmyk cavalry division has been fighting hard-fought battles near Bogaevskaya, Razdorskaya and Semikarakorskaya stanitsas since the 12-28 of July of 1942. On the 27-28 of July, fearing encirclement, the division went to the river Manych. In Mozdok the division staff was reshaped and then it took active part in territory deliverance of the North Caucasus from German invaders. In February of 1943 the division was disbanded like other national units.
