Modernization of Eastern Europe: integration or differentiation of political expanse?

Annotation

In article activity of the two stages of the integration processes in the countries of Eastern Europe associated with the modernization of the political institutions in the second half and the end of XX century is considered. Indicate different level of involvement of the Eastern European region in the European integration process, the inequality of development, differentiation trends, the impact of joining the European Union are defined. The author pays special attention of the real differentiation in Eastern Europe, which are determined by the course of the European integration and its manifestations in the Eastern European expanse. As a result, the author comes to conclusion that the current situation related to the loss of political sovereignty of the Central European countries and further modernization is possible in the new geopolitical conditions.
