Annotation

Khlustovshina is considered one of the most popular sects of Russia of the XIX century , being, at the same time, one of the most mysterious. In the south of Russia, in the Astrakhan province, in the late XIX - early XX centuries there were also Khlyst community, which were permanent job missionaries local Orthodox diocese. Astrakhan Khlyst community, in general, stick to the basic provisions of their faith, but at the same time, they were characterized by some local distinctive features.
