Russian collaborator print media: coverage of the spanish blue division in Russia

Annotation

The Spanish Blue Division stationed in Novgorod and its vicinity from October 1941 to August 1942. That volunteer unit, an ally of Nazi Germany, arrived at the Eastern Front. The Blue Division took part in the sanguinary battles against the Red Army during the winter of 1941-1942. Later it wasdeployed in the Leningrad region (1942-1943). The Blue Division and Spain were in the limelight of the Russian collaborator press during that period.
