Children’s suffrage: the idea and prospects of implementation

Annotation

In XX century a significant spread has the idea of ​​giving voting rights to children. The article analyzes the major projects related to the idea of children’s suffrage. Projects of children’s suffrage, carried out by their parents, are conflictogenic, violate the principle of equal suffrage, could undermine the legitimacy of the election. The positive effects of these projects to the demographic situation is controversial. The main cause of this idea is the factor of inertia of centuries of the spread of the suffrage.
