Philosophical base of the popular sovereignty principle in the Middle Ages

Annotation

In this article the author studies a "dark hole" in the history of political thought. This is a period of time used to miss by Russian lecturers reading this university's course, but it has however a critical meaning. Actually we don't understand how after epoch, lasting more than thousand years, when politics was comprehended only by theocratic framework, suddenly in the intellectual community of Europe old-established republicanism appeared. This article answers this question looking through an actor, who introduces republican discourse in the political thought.
