Military and political security problems of the Caspian countries

Annotation

In the article paper, military and political situation in the Caspian basin in contemporary conditions is analysed. The author, basing on exact facts, shows how the region turns into a geostrategic cooperation zone between the USA and Russia, as well as position and role of independent states and Iran in this situation. Besides, the alternation of Azerbaijan's geopolitical position in the region has been indicated in the article.
