Annotation

The article is devoted to the information of ancient Greek and Roman authors about the Caspian Sea and the inhabitants of its coast. These reports are very important, because they were the only information in written form about the ancient tribes, who inhabited this region in the antiquity. Ancient narrative sourses give us the unique information about the native ethnonymes, customs and development standards.
