Problem of social development in W. Godwin's doctrine of the common right and government
Annotation
The given article is based on the analysis of Godwin's works, who was the theorist of European anarchism, and concerns the problems of state theory and law, politology, history of political and law teachings. Anarchism in Godwin's theory is presented not only as a political, social and law phe-nomennon, but also as a doctrine of morality. In this theory in spite of a deep antagonism the possibility of human society development on the base of state principles and individual freedom synthesis is shown.
