Tolerance and types of interconfessional relations in modern Russia

Annotation

Russia is a polyconfessional state. Therefore religious organizations in Russia have to find appropriate types of interaction. The aim of this article is to analyse the role of tolerance in different types of interconfessional relations. Much attention is paid to definition of the term "tolerance". The author gives characteristic types of interconfessional dialogue in modern Russia. The main conclusion of the article is based on the assumption that tolerance principle in interconfessional regulation should be determined by the interaction between confessions, interconfessional agreements and establishment of interconfessional organizations.
