The civil society and the state power: the main trends in the South of Russia

Annotation

In the article the author analyses the examples of mutual relations between state and civil institutions in Astrakhan, Stavropol and Krasnodar regions. The activities of public and religious organizations of the South of Russia are in the centre of this analysis. The author pays a special attention to the varieties of civil initiatives at the all-Russia and regional levels.
