The Kurdish issue in Syria has passed through several formations. From 1946 to 2011, the main complex of problems of the Kurdish ethnic group in Syria was formed. Since the emergence of the modern hybrid armed conflict in Syria, which is taking place in the context of internationalization, the Kurdish issue has acquired a new dimension. Based on the analysis of the relevant state of the Kurdish issue in Syria, the author comes to the following conclusion. The Kurdish issue in Syria in the context of foreign policy activities in the sphere of Russia's national interests in the middle East should be considered in the context of: stabilizing the situation in the Middle East region (preventing the emergence of new hotbeds of tension using the Kurdish factor), preserving Russia's status as a leader in promoting a peaceful settlement in Syria, and strengthening Russia as a powerful and influential military and political actor in international relations</p></abstract><abstract xml:lang="en"><p>This article is devoted to the study of the Kurdish issue in the Syrian crisis in the context of Russia's national interests.
