The subject of this article is cases of a change of religion and the possibility of such a change, discussed on Internet forums. Web 2.0 technologies made it possible to organize mass discussions in real time with independent actors, geographically distant from each other, on Internet forums. Currently, the Internet has a huge number of forums on religious topics, in which users communicate with each other, ask questions, try to find answers for themselves. A study of the content of Internet forums was conducted, where the problem of a change of religion was discussed. The reasons for the transition, the assessment of others and a change in attitude towards those who made the transition to another religion were considered.
