The role and importance of this project examines on the global, national and regional levels. The author argues that convincing advertising and informational promotion of this project can show its indisputable importance for Russia and for all Caspian states. A special place in the implementation of this project belongs to Astrakhan with its transport and communication, geographical and educational advantages.</p></abstract><abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article consider the current position of international transport corridor "North - South" in context of changing Eurasia.
