For Russia, whose economy is more focused on the export of energy resources, the development of economic diplomacy is one of the priorities, both in foreign and domestic policy, which is related to the objective need for export diversification and improvement of the trade balance. The task of economic diplomacy development is also connected with a new round of the sanctions war against Russia, which is interested in overcoming the artificial economic barriers. In connection with these it is economic diplomacy that can become a real mechanism for eliminating economic discrimination and needs to be actively developed.
