This article is focuses an extensive and relatively young field of scientific knowledge - the theory of decision-making. The author turns to stratagic thinking and considers the possibility of its application in the sphere of management, in particular in security agencies. In this research, the following issues are consistently disclosed: the place of stratagic thinking in the theory of decision-making, its concept, structure and functions. Particular attention is paid to the stratagic analysis of the situation and the specifics of the stratagic algorithm, as well as the understanding of managerial levels in the social management organization.
