Particular attention is paid to the influence of Buddhism on the economic culture of the countries of the East. It is noted that the true, higher human values and meanings, recorded in the performance of religious and ethical teachings, the ability to spiritualize and humanize economic and economic activities, supplement the purely economic approach with a socio-cultural, considered person in a complex system of his relationships with society, nature, the surrounding world. All this allows us to consider economic culture as an interest and a specific sphere of culture.</p></abstract><abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article is devoted to the problem of the economic culture of the East, which is considered in the context of the concept of "non-Western modernity".
