This article considers the actual topic of institutionalizing the process of forming patriotism in Russia as a necessary condition for creating a mechanism for introducing political values that regulate the system of civic-patriotic roles and statuses. The article notes that the process of institutionalization presupposes not a replacement of established civil-patriotic values, but an active inclusion of society in a process in which there are contradictions between old and new institutional forms.
