The authors, based on the study of contemporary political processes in Russian society assesses the state of the young generation education in the educational field are considered the ways and means of involving young people in terrorist activities and the "weak links" in the system of countering the ideology of terrorism. The article analyzes the effectiveness of a set of measures to counter the ideology of terrorism, examines the role of education in preventing risks and threats of a terrorist nature, assesses the role of civil society institutions in this work, notes the need to improve measures aimed at countering the ideology of extremism in social networks.
