A religious affiliation is the most important one out of all identifying characteristics of the Alien at the categorical level. Different faith may deeply set us apart rather than different ethnic affiliation. In the confessional sphere conflicts between the representatives of «own» ethnic group were the most violant and of long continuance. In the article we do not touch upon worldview peculiarities and contradictions of interconfessional communications, we analyzed two important markers of «the Alien»: confessional alimentary and vestimentary culture. The main research methodology is a comparative analysis of vivid marker characteristics. In the confessional sphere they have their own features and sometimes they become a «brand name» one or other religion in the modern life. They unite people at the visual level, they mark them as their «own» ones and at the same time they (in alimentary culture) attract representatives of other confessions, focused on a healthy lifestyle.
