The article analyzes the religious situation in the postmodern era. In particular, attention is paid to issues such as the change of motivations in the choice of religion, the influence of fundamentalism in different religious denominations and religious syncretism. All these factors have, in varying degrees, influenced the development of religious transgression - socio - cultural phenomenon of our time. In the framework analyzed using the conducted a small survey associated with a number of world religions, both situations leaving the faith to return to the Church.
