In article are analyzed problems of staffing and placement of labor in the Astrakhan region in second half 1970 - at the beginning of 1980 . During this chronological period, unresolved problems in vocational education system became most obvious for years. The authors consider questions of equivalent both official and actual indicators of reception in vocational schools, a level of development of material base of vocational education, its supply qualified engineering-pedagogical workers. The special attention the author is given to a problem of efficiency of personnel's placement on the region enterprises. At the result authors come to conclusion that dynamics of indicators a preparation of labor personnel was in dependence from rates of industrial production development. Regional problems of staffing and placement of labor were reflexion of the all-Russian tendency.
