The present article is aimed at the study of the students’ migration plans in European, Southern and Eastern Frontiers of Astrakhan region. The study object is students of Astrakhan region. In terms of the findings of the questionnaire survey of the students from the City of Astrakhan carried out in September, 2012, the author analyzed and determined the main goals of the students’ participation in the migration flows. The analysis of the findings showed that the choice of the direction, purpose and the possibility to implement the plans depend on the social and economic facilities of a frontier as well as the distance between countries.
