The authors consider that the analyses of this role helps us to define different periods of frontier: early frontier, frontier and postfrontier, because her status is different in each period that means that her role in the intercultural communication is also different. The articles also shows some analogues in the frontier relations on the Wild West and the Low Volga region.</p></abstract><abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article analyzes the woman’s role in the cultural dialog in different periods of frontier relations.
