The manifestations of political youth extremism cause a wide resonance in the society, including the cyber society, such actions are considered socially dangerous. The article provides a sociological analysis of public opinion aimed at understanding political extremism, to figure out the main reasons of extremism among young people and to identify effective ways of preventing youth extremism. The authors conclude that the main effective way of preventing extremism is a constructive dialogue between the government and the opposition, as well as dramatic changes in social and political life, the development of democratic institutions.
