The author analyzes new threats and risks of ethnopolitical stability of the region on the basis of the last data, taking into account the conflictogenic factors and migratory flows. There are shown tendencies and prospects of the interethnic relations in the light of the decisions made in the country.</p></abstract><abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article is devoted to modern geopolitical processes in the south of Russia in sector of the Caspian region.
