The article presents a comparative analysis of sociological research to identify trends of today’s youth display of activity. Data received during the author’s research, expand representation of the attitude of students to youth voluntary associations. The authors come to the conclusion that young people (for example, university students Astrakhan) feel the need to participate in social activities.</p></abstract><abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The sociological analysis of youth associations destroys the stereotype of young people as a homogeneous social group.
