In article the policy of Russia in the Caucasus in the 1740th is analyzed. In the center of attention there is relationship of the Russian authorities with the people of the Caucasus which weren’t the Russian citizens. That part which was assigned to Dagestanis in strategy of the Russian foreign policy in the Caucasus is estimated in the 1740th.
