This article is devoted to the analysis of political-and-cultural approach as a new research paradigm in American political science of the 2 part of the XX century. The author emphasizes that this theoretical-and-methodological approach overcomes the framework of structural-and-functional examination of political reality and thus permits to take into account consequence of polical-and-cultural characteristics of society such as mentality, values, behavior stereotypes etc.
