In this article the analysis of various treatment of terms of political risk in the foreign and Russian scientific researches is conducted. This notion appeared from commercial environment. Financial analysts tackled it research for the creation of the economic strategy of the activity companies on international level and understood political risk as probability of financial losses as a result of the influence of disadvantageous political factors of the sittings of investments in the country. The author offers usage of this term in the activity of Russian political parties. She considers political risk as probability of the negative and positive consequences of policy-making influencing on the operation of party system.
