Disbalanced spread of economies and population further necessitates the selection of a territory for free economic zones. To our mind, attention should be focused on marginal areas in territorial selection. Namely, this region has a rich natural resource potential. Specialization of FEZs should be determined based on economic and geographical location, as well as natural resource potential of a region.</p></abstract><abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Reforms ongoing in the country, extension of economic ties and growth of foreign investments necessitate the establishment of free economic zones (FEZs) in the republic.
