Growth scale to immigrations in Russia from countries near and distant abroad generates the problems of mutual adaptation of immigrants. The article deals with the perception of migration process by means of mass media. The author analyses the place and the role of central and local mass media in the migrants' image making process. In the article the secondary analysis of results of public opinion of poll of leading Russian organizations, for instance FOM, Levada-Centre and VCIOM, is given.
