In the article the results of the All-Russia sociological research «Spiritual culture of Russia: state and prospects of development» are considered. The basic conclusions are made according to the problem situation of research. It consists in the contradiction between the historically usual values and norms in the Russian society and formed new valuable orientations and spiritual inquiries basing on democratic priorities. The author pays a spesial attention to the distinctive aspects of the results of the interrogation in the Astrakhan region.
