Дихотомия «Свой – Чужой» возникает уже в процессе образования древних обществ, однако только на рубеже XX–XXI вв. в научном дискурсе начинают анализироваться специфические черты Чужого, позволяющие дифференцировать его от Другого и тем более от Своего. Эти характеристики выступают значимыми маркерами состояния современного социума, позволяющими провести комплексный анализ культурного, социального и политического ландшафта эпохи, отдельного государства или региона в нем. Цель статьи – выявить специфические характеристики Чужого, формирующие его облик в рамках культуры отмены в современном мире. В качестве методологической основы работы предлагается сравнительный анализ совокупности личностных характеристик Своего и Чужого, сформированных в поле культуры отмены. Последняя, как видно из немногочисленных научных статей и размещенной в сети Интернет статистической информации, «загоняет» Чужого в жесткие рамки штампов и ярлыков, они прочно оседают в общественной психологии, становясь неотъемлемыми характеристиками личности, не вписывающейся в привычный или одобряемый большинством образ жизни. Через анализ сущности процессов дегуманизации, стигматизации и демонизации автор приходит к выводу, что процесс дифференциации на Своего и Чужого в последнее десятилетие существенно ускоряется и становится необратимым. Кэнселлинг же, активно используя влияние на общество интернета и социальных сетей, закрепляет и фиксирует личностные характеристики Чужого «отмененного», наделяет их новыми смысловыми коннотациями. Жесткость формулировок, применяемых к исключенному из социума («античеловечный», «несправедливый», «недостойный общества, в котором живет», «забытый») усиливает атмосферу непонимания и неприязни к Чужому, делает его изгоем и лишает возможности реабилитироваться и вернуться в категорию Своих.

The “friend-foe” dichotomy arose already in the process of the formation of ancient societies, but it was only at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries that specific features of the Alien began to be analyzed in scientific discourse, allowing it to differentiate from the Other and, moreover, from Its Own. These characteristics are significant markers of the state of modern society, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of the cultural, social and political landscape of the era, a particular state or region in it. The purpose of this article is to identify the specific characteristics of the Alien that shape its appearance within the framework of cancel culture in the modern world. As a methodological basis of the work, a comparative analysis of the totality of personal characteristics of “One's Own” and “Someone Else's,” formed in the field of cancellation culture, is proposed. The latter, as can be seen from the few scientific articles and statistical information posted on the Internet, “drives”" the Stranger into the rigid framework of stamps and labels, they firmly settle in social psychology, becoming integral characteristics of a personality that does not fit into the usual or approved by the majority lifestyle. Through the analysis of the essence of the processes of dehumanization, stigmatization and demonization, the author comes to the conclusion that the process of differentiation into One's Own and Another has significantly accelerated and become irreversible in the last decade. Kenselling, on the other hand, actively uses the influence of the Internet and social networks on society to consolidate and fix the personal characteristics of Someone Else's “undone,” endowing them with new semantic connotations. The harshness of the formulations applied to the excluded from society (“anti-human,” “unfair,” “unworthy of the society in which he lives,” “forgotten”) increases the atmosphere of misunderstanding and hostility towards Others, makes him an outcast and deprives him of the opportunity to rehabilitate and return to the category of “his own”.
